The idea is born
In a small old apartment in Cologne, Nikolaj, inspired by his travels and fascination with local craftsmanship, began with initial sketches and notes. The idea: tableware that tells stories. Still without a concrete name, but with a clear vision.
Founding of SÄNGER
After an intensive journey through Southern Europe, including an extended stay on Corfu, Nikolaj founded the brand Sänger with a friend. The name is symbolic of sharing and passing on experiences – like a song at the table.
First Collection
The first collection, minimalist yet full of character, is created in close collaboration with a small ceramic manufactory. Each piece bears the hallmark of traditional craftsmanship, combining a sense of form with delicate details.
